Unleash the Power of Windows Notepad as a Diary

Windows Notepad as a Diary

Windows Notepad is one of the best tool that Microsoft has ever had. Starting from Windows 1.0 in 1985 it has been included in every version of Windows.

Notepad is a simple-plain text editor usually saved with .txt extension. Being a simple editor it can be used to create file types that any DOS environment can handle it. Head on to Wikipedia's Notepad (software) for more information.

Using the superpowers of Notepad we will be creating a diary or log. This diary or log will auto-publish the current date and time every time we open the file. Like this.

Creating a log in Notepad is very simple.
  1. Create a New Text Document.
  2. Type .LOG
  3. Save It!
Note: Make sure Its a new text document, editing some other text document may not work. Type .LOG in capital letters and also in the first line. Save the document in its default format or extension which is .txt.
